For over 22 years, the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) has been a primary health workforce provider across rural and regional Victoria. Our journey begins through listening and having honest conversations, learning about primary health care needs, and building trust at a grassroots level. We tap into our long-established deep connections and knowledge with health professionals and organisations to develop an innovative workforce for the specific needs of each community, region, or district. As an organisation and brand, RWAV lives by the value of Collaboration. Respect, Resilience, Accountability and Innovation form our four supporting values. Our Vision is to achieve health equity for rural, regional and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Victoria. In our Mission, we strive to deliver contemporary workforce development strategies that advance rural, regional and Aboriginal Victorians’ access to high-quality health care. We deliver an extensive range of health workforce solutions, including providing Outreach, Recruitment (both permanent and locum), access to Grants, and enabling nurturing programs and future workforce opportunities. RWAV serves the essential health workforce needs of rural and regional communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples throughout Victoria.

Welcome to SARRAH 2024
The National Conference for Rural and Remote Allied Health is the centrepiece of SARRAH’s engagement with our members and all allied health professionals, service providers, academics, students, and local, state and Commonwealth governments, working to ensure equitable access to allied health services and better health outcomes for rural and remote Australians. The purpose of our gathering is to share knowledge and thought leadership in the rural and remote allied health sector while networking with new and old friends.

This year's theme Going the Distance: Thriving in Rural and Remote Communities marks the 15th National Conference for Rural and Remote Allied Health, and we plan to make this event the best yet!

will be held in Mildura, Victoria, on the banks of the iconic Murray River. Over the course of the three-day event, 250 delegates will have walked through the halls of the Mildura Grand Hotel.

We look forward to welcoming you to a rich cultural experience, a rejuvenating social program and some robust, thought-provoking discussion throughout the conference.

We can't wait to see you there!

SARRAH 2024 will bring together health leaders with a shared vision of growing a fit-for-purpose rural and remote health workforce committed to caring for rural and remote Australians, so that they have access to the healthcare they need to stay whole, healthy, and fully participating in society.
